Azaad: Aaman Devgn Talks About Nervous Debut With Ajay Devgn

Ajay Devgn’s nephew, Aaman Devgn, is stepping into Bollywood with his first film, Azaad. Directed by Abhishek Kapoor, the movie’s trailer has already grabbed attention for its fresh storyline and strong performances. Sharing the screen with his uncle Ajay Devgn and Raveena Tandon’s daughter, Rasha Thadani, Aaman says he experienced a rollercoaster of emotions during the shoot.

At the trailer launch event, Aaman opened up about how nerve-wracking his first day on set was. “I was too nervous to focus on the character,” he said, recalling how standing next to Ajay Devgn, a legendary name in the industry, added to the pressure. Yet, he also shared how his uncle’s advice and encouragement helped him settle down.

Ajay, who plays a pivotal role in the film, revealed that he wanted Aaman to give his best. “I told him there are no shortcuts. You have to work hard if you want to make a mark,” Ajay said. According to Aaman, his uncle didn’t just say these words but also led by example, inspiring him to push through his fears.

Set in the 1920s, Azaad tells the story of a young stable boy and his extraordinary bond with a spirited horse. The film promises to be a mix of drama, emotions, and a touch of nostalgia. Aaman plays the stable boy, while Ajay essays a mentor-like role. Diana Penty is also part of the cast, adding another layer of charm to this period drama.

Aaman admitted that acting alongside such established names felt overwhelming at first. “Rasha and I are both newcomers, so we were learning a lot. There were moments when I would forget my lines or feel like I wasn’t doing enough, but Ajay sir and Abhishek sir always guided me,” he said with a smile.

The young actor also spoke about the bond he formed with Rasha during the shoot. “Rasha and I became good friends. We supported each other because we were both new to this. It made things a little easier,” he added.

The film’s director, Abhishek Kapoor, known for movies like Kai Po Che! and Rock On!!, praised Aaman for his dedication. “He came in with no airs and was willing to learn. That’s what I liked about him,” Abhishek said. He also mentioned that Ajay’s involvement in the project added depth to the story.

The trailer of Azaad gives a glimpse into the stunning visuals and emotional storyline that awaits the audience. With its period setting, the movie captures the essence of a bygone era, making it a treat for cinema lovers.
