Kingambit Finally Drops! Here’s Everything You Should Know About Pokémon GO’s Crown Clash Event {update}

Now, what’s actually new here? First off, we’ve got the debut of Kingambit, a Dark/Steel-type evolution that’s been highly requested. To get one, you’ll need to evolve Pawniard into Bisharp, then into Kingambit. So yeah, it’s Candy farming time.

And it’s not just Kingambit showing up. We’re also getting special crowned versions of Nidoking and Nidoqueen. These two can even appear as Shiny, which makes the chase even more fun. Want more sparkle? The Shiny odds are also boosted for Pokémon like Slowpoke, Combee, and Litleo. Catching Slowpoke might even get you a King’s Rock, so keep an eye out.

Wild encounters are stacked. Expect to see Pokémon like:

  And yep, most of them can be shiny too.

Now let’s talk raids. In 1-Star Raids, you’ll run into:

3-Star Raids are all about the crowned legends—Nidoqueen and Nidoking, both with their royal bling and shiny chances.

If you’re more into quests, there’s a bunch of Field Research tasks that give some pretty cool rewards. For example:

• Catch 10 Pokémon? You could get a Piplup or Litleo.
• Win a Raid? That gets you a Sneasel.
• Win 2 Raids? Say hello to a Crowned Nidoqueen or Nidoking.
• Evolve 2 Pokémon? You might pull a Slowpoke, Combee, or Snivy.
• Power up Pokémon 5 times? You could land a Sneasel or Klink.

There’s also a Crowned Collection Challenge happening. Complete it, and you’ll earn XP, Stardust, and even a Pawniard encounter. Here’s what the tasks look like:
