Himani Bundela Returns to KBC Talks About Life After Winning 1 Crore
Himani Bundela, the first visually impaired contestant to win ₹1 crore on Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC), is back on the show. This time, she’s not here to play, but to share how life has changed since her big win in 2021.
Host Amitabh Bachchan welcomed her warmly, calling her an inspiration for millions. Himani, who was a contestant in KBC’s 13th season, has dedicated her life to helping differently-abled students. She shared that her victory gave her the resources to push forward with her mission.
How KBC Changed Her Life
Winning a crore was a life-altering moment, but for Himani, it wasn’t just about the money. She didn’t use her winnings for personal luxuries or medical treatment. Instead, she invested in initiatives that support disabled children. A primary school teacher by profession, she has worked towards making education more accessible for visually impaired students.
After her win, she became a well-known name in India. The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh recognized her efforts, and UNICEF also acknowledged her work. Over the past few years, she has attended more than 400 interviews and public events, using her platform to spread awareness about disability rights.
Dreams Turned Into Reality
Himani has always dreamt of establishing an inclusive coaching center for differently-abled students. With her KBC winnings, she is turning that dream into reality. She believes that every child, regardless of their physical challenges, deserves equal opportunities in education.
Apart from this, she has also helped reinstate her father’s business. She mentioned how her family stood by her through thick and thin, and she wanted to give back to them in whatever way she could.
Sitting across Amitabh Bachchan once again, Himani got emotional as she recalled her journey. She described her win as a ‘magical moment’ that changed everything. “After I won, my home was filled with celebrations for months,” she shared with a bright smile.
She also spoke about the challenges she faced before KBC. Many times, she worried about how people would treat her due to her visual impairment. But after her victory, she realized that people saw her as an achiever, not as someone with a disability.
During the conversation, she complimented Amitabh Bachchan, saying, “Your name is very influential, like the sun. Wherever you go, you radiate light.” The legendary host smiled, clearly touched by her words.
A Role Model for Many
Himani’s journey is an inspiration for countless individuals facing difficulties in life. She proved that disabilities do not define a person’s potential. With determination and the right opportunities, anyone can achieve their dreams.
As she left the KBC stage once again, she carried with her not just memories but also renewed motivation to continue her mission. Her story reminds us all that true success isn’t just about winning money but about using it to make a difference.
Himani Bundela’s return to KBC was a powerful moment—one that showcased the impact of perseverance, kindness, and a strong sense of purpose.
