Ram Charan’s Game Changer Set for a Big Day 1 Box Office Collection – January 9, 2025
Ram Charan’s much-anticipated political thriller, Game Changer, is finally here. Directed by Shankar, known for films like Sivaji: The Boss and Enthiran, this marks Ram Charan’s first solo release in five years. After the massive success of Pushpa 2, all eyes are now on this film, which has been making headlines even before its release.
The journey to release hasn’t been without drama. A few days ago, Lyca Productions raised objections, urging Shankar to finish Indian 3 before releasing Game Changer. Despite these attempts, the film has managed to secure a smooth release, including in Tamil Nadu.
Advance bookings for the film started on a slow note. On the first day, ticket sales were modest, bringing in about ₹2.5 crore. But things picked up quickly. By the second day, sales jumped significantly, crossing ₹18 crore. Industry experts are predicting a solid opening, with collections likely to hit ₹22-25 crore on its first day in India alone.
In Telangana, ticket prices have been hiked for opening day. Single-screen tickets are up by ₹100, while multiplex tickets cost an additional ₹150. Fans, however, seem unfazed by the price increase, with packed shows reported across the region.
The buzz isn’t limited to India. In North America, which has become a major market for Telugu films, Game Changer is making waves. Despite delays in delivering digital drives to exhibitors, the film is expected to touch the $1 million mark with its premiere shows.
The film has a star-studded cast, including Kiara Advani and SJ Suryah in pivotal roles. Shankar’s signature style of combining entertainment with a social message has fans eagerly awaiting the story. While the exact plot details are under wraps, the film promises high-octane drama, gripping political intrigue, and powerful performances.
For Ram Charan, this film is a significant milestone. His last major release was RRR alongside Jr. NTR, which became a global phenomenon. Now, with Game Changer, he is stepping back into the spotlight as a solo lead.
Fans on social media are already celebrating. Hashtags like #GameChanger and #RamCharan are trending, with many calling the film a “sure-shot blockbuster.” The hype is real, and the first-day collections could set the tone for the film’s run.
After Game Changer, Ram Charan is all set to begin work on his next project, RC 16. Directed by Buchi Babu, the film will also star Janhvi Kapoor, adding to the excitement around his upcoming slate.
For now, all eyes are on Game Changer and its box office performance. Whether it lives up to the high expectations remains to be seen, but one thing is certain—Ram Charan’s fans are ready to celebrate.
