The streaming app ULLU is taking a bold step. It’s launching its own digital token—UlluCoin. Backed by Cypher Capital, this move pushes ULLU into the world of Web3.
ULLU already has over 109 million downloads. It pulls in 42 million active users every month. Now, it wants to build a new kind of connection with them. Not just through content. But through rewards, interaction, and digital ownership.
UlluCoin is a utility token. That means it’s built for use, not just for trading.
Users can earn it, spend it, and unlock access inside the ULLU ecosystem. You watch content? You can earn. Join events or complete quests? More rewards.
The token opens up things like premium shows, live events, challenges, fan tokens, and exclusive bonuses. ULLU isn’t listing it on outside apps for now. You’ll find UlluCoin only on the ULLU app and its website, ullucoin.io. The total supply is 100 billion tokens.
Cypher Capital is the lead investor in this project. They’re based in Dubai and known for backing real-use blockchain ventures. Harsh Agarwal, the investment head, says ULLU stood out because of its large user base and the potential to drive real engagement with UlluCoin.
This isn’t some random crypto drop. It’s directly tied to how the app already works. People watch, interact, and follow content creators. UlluCoin builds on that.
Avinash Duggal, the CEO of ULLU, says the token is about giving users more than just shows. It’s a way to reward loyalty. He sees it as a step toward building a deeper connection between creators and fans. Maybe down the road, it could open doors to things like voting power, exclusive merch, or even content creation tools.
To power this whole setup, ULLU brought in Chainsense Ltd. They’re handling the blockchain side of things—designing the token, managing the system, and building future updates. Exchange listings are in the works. A public sale is expected soon, though no dates are confirmed yet.
ULLU is the first Indian OTT platform to introduce a token like this. That alone makes it worth watching. Most streaming services give you content and take your money. This one’s trying to give something back.
The move feels fresh. It might not change everything overnight. But if even a small group of users starts using UlluCoin, it could shift the way these platforms think about audience loyalty and engagement.
Now it’s about follow-through. Will people actually care enough to use the token? Will it grow beyond ULLU’s own platform?
